Introduction
To ensure reliable processing, Burai only shows Export to Burai AI and External Share options for file types that Burai can convert to PDF (or already are PDFs where applicable).
Export to Burai AI — Supported file types
Export to Burai AI is available only for:
.docx
.pptx
.xlsx
.pdf
.md
.html
If a file type is unsupported, you won’t see Export to Burai AI anywhere (file details, context menus, or other entry points).
External Share — Convertible files only
External Share is available only for files Burai can convert to PDF for a snapshot.
If Burai can’t convert the file, External Share is disabled/hidden, and you can still use Native Share (Microsoft sharing).
Summary / Next Steps
If you don’t see Export to Burai AI or External Share, check the file type first. If the file is convertible but conversion fails, you’ll see a standard failure message and can retry.
