How to Create a New Microsoft File in Burai

Introduction

You can create Word, Excel, and PowerPoint files directly in Burai without leaving your workflow. Files are created in the current location and opened automatically.

Steps

  1. Navigate to a Department or folder.

  2. Click + New.

  3. Under Create, select a file type:

    • Word document

    • Excel spreadsheet

    • PowerPoint presentation

  4. Enter a file name in the creation modal.

  5. Click Create file.

  6. Review the File Details page and begin editing in the desktop app or browser.

Notes / Tips

  • File names must be unique in the current location.

  • Invalid characters are not allowed.

  • The file extension is added automatically.

  • You must have permission to create files in the folder.
