How to Navigate a Project Page in Burai

Find your way around a project's four tabs — Files, Overview, Board and Timeline — and know what each one is for.

Opening a project takes you to a page with four tabs, each answering a
different question: where are the documents, how are we doing, what is everyone
working on, and when is it due. Projects and Departments share this layout.

Steps

  1. Open a project.
Select it from Projects in the main navigation sidebar.

  2. Use Files for documents.
Everything attached to the project lives here, as cards in grid view or as
rows with creator and dates in list view.

  3. Use Overview for status.
A colour-coded gauge shows overall completion, with counts of overdue, due
today, upcoming and completed tasks. Charts below show how work is spread across the team, and the right-hand side lists the project's creator, description and members.

  4. Use Board to see the work.
Tasks appear as cards in columns by status. See How to Use the Project
    Board in Burai
    .

  5. Use Timeline to see the dates.
Tasks appear as bars on a horizontal calendar grouped by day and week, so
you can see what overlaps and what is coming.

Notes / Tips

  • Each task metric on Overview has a filter, so you can click a number to
    see just those tasks.

  • Use the dropdown next to the project name to edit its details, copy a direct
    link, or archive it.

  • The three-dot menu beside any file or folder offers Copy link and Open
    source
, which opens the file where it is actually stored.

  • You only see projects you have been given access to.

Summary / Next Steps

Files for documents, Overview for status, Board for the work, Timeline for the
dates. Start on Overview when you want a quick read on where a project stands.
