Release summary:

With this release Burai is extending Projects to users with Google private accounts. We introduce a comprehensive set of features for project management, including enhanced file management. Users can now create and manage projects more efficiently with new functionalities such as file copying, moving, as well as streamlined access and permission management. Additionally, users with Google business accounts can now also copy files into the Projects folder.

Features and Improvements

  • Google private users can now create and manage projects with integrated My Drive support, including a two-step project creation process and 'Create Project' buttons in Home and Projects sections.

  • Introduced a full-featured Files tab for centralized content management, including file upload from local devices, file preview, and access management.

  • Added a dedicated To-Do tab for task management with filters, sorting, and detailed task views, and an Overview tab with high-level project metrics and team management features.

  • Introduced a persistent, real-time progress component for file copying and removal, allowing users to track and manage file transfers without leaving the page.

  • Added retry functionality for moving files and folders, and detailed move outcome modals, providing clarity and recovery options for file transfers.

  • Enabled file copying for both private and business Google users from Google Drives into projects with permission validation, and mapped Google Drive roles to Burai permissions for consistent access.

  • Implemented synchronization of project names between Burai and My Drive, ensuring consistency and preventing confusion.

  • Enabled project members to be invited via the Share modal, enhancing collaboration.

  • Enhanced project sharing capabilities with web and email notifications, allowing users to manage access and share links effectively.
