Release summary:

We're introducing Organizations in Burai, our new way of structuring collaboration for teams, companies, and larger groups. Whether you're sharing projects, publishing files, or assigning tasks, Organizations make it easier to manage access, invite new users, and keep everything in one place. The release includes a new Admin Panel for centralized control of the Organizations. Key updates include the ability to create organizations, manage roles, and streamline task and file sharing across multiple platforms. Several bug fixes enhance stability and usability, particularly in task assignment and document sharing.

Features and Improvements

  • Enabled creation of organizations with private or business domains, supporting both open and closed membership models.

  • Implemented mandatory organization-based onboarding for new users at first sign-in.

  • Introduced an organization switcher for seamless transitions between multiple organizations.

  • Redesigned sidebar navigation to include organization switching and improved project access.

  • Introduced a centralized Admin Panel for streamlined management of users, roles, settings, and billing within organizations.

  • Added role-based navigation and permissions, restricting Guests to file-level access only.

  • Updated sharing flows to automatically invite external users as Guests or Members, with clear billing guidance.

  • Enhanced task creation with new highlight colors and improved context for task origins.

Bug Fixes

  • Fixed issue with unclickable 'Done' button in the sharing modal on desktop add-in.

  • Corrected issue where 'Mark all as read' did not affect DataBridge new senders notifications.

  • Fixed bug preventing users from selecting themselves as assignees in task creation on MS add-in.

  • Resolved issue with missing user image and name in the 'Publish document' modal on the Addon.
