Key Functionalities
Task name labels: Each task bar displays the task name inside the bar (instead of a task ID).
Drag to reschedule: Move entire task bars left or right to shift start and due dates together.
Resizable durations: Drag the edges of a task bar to extend or shorten the task duration in real time.
Visual dependencies: Create links between tasks using the small dependency handles on task bars. Tooltips show which tasks are connected and how.
Dependency types supported:
End-to-Start → Task B starts when Task A ends.
Start-to-Start → Both tasks start at the same time.
End-to-End → Both tasks finish at the same time.
To add a dependency, the user must have editor access at the project or file level and can create dependencies only from the Gantt timeline, regardless of whether they are the creator, assignee, or reviewer of the task.
Tasks relations
By default, all tasks and subtasks within a project can be linked through dependencies, regardless of whether they were created directly in the project or in a file that belongs to the project.
- If a task or subtask exists only within a file, its dependency can only be another task from the same file.
- If a task or subtask is in a file that is part of a project, its dependency can be any task from either that file or the project.Each task includes a visible Dependencies section, which is view-only in the modal. Dependencies cannot be added, edited, or removed from the task details modal.If a task or subtask has a dependency, the start and due dates are not editable in the modal, but only in the Gantt.
If the task or subtask has no dependencies, the start and due dates are editable in the modal and Gantt.
If the task doesn’t have a set start and due date, the task doesn’t have a dependency.Removing dependencies: Double-click a dependency line to open a confirmation window and choose whether to remove it.
Editing Restrictions
Tasks linked across different files within the same project cannot be edited in the Gantt view.
Tasks with project-level dependencies also cannot be edited in the Gantt.
Files themselves cannot have dependencies.
When editing is disabled, a tooltip explains the restriction.
Notifications
During interactions, the Gantt view shows system notifications in the bottom-right corner.
These messages appear instantly and disappear automatically after 5 seconds to keep the workspace clean.
