      Task in Modal View

  1. Task ID, Title and Description: At the top left of the detailed task view, key information about the task is displayed, providing a quick overview of its purpose and requirements. The task ID, a unique identifier, is shown at the top.

Directly below, the task title clearly defines the objective of the task. Beneath the title, the description field provides additional context, guidelines, or specific instructions related to the task, helping users understand what is expected. The description is a mandatory field, ensuring that every task includes sufficient detail for proper execution.

  2. Source: Just beneath the description, if it exists, the source of the task is displayed, such as any linked documents or files associated with it. This is useful for quickly accessing the necessary resources to complete the task.

  3. Subtasks: If additional work needs to be created from a parent task for team members collaborating on the same objective, subtasks can be added. This allows the main task to be broken down into smaller, more manageable actions, making it easier to assign responsibilities and track progress across the team.

  4. Attachments: This section allows users to view and add attachments relevant to the task, where the number indicates how many items are attached to the current task. By clicking on 'Add Attachment,' items can be added one by one, and they can be removed by simply clicking on the trash can icon. It’s a place to store documents, images, or other files that are necessary for completing the task.

  5. Comments and Activity: This section tracks all changes and comments made by collaborators on the task. It includes updates to the due date, status, effort, attachments, description, priority, assignees, and more.

All actions are recorded in chronological order, providing a clear overview of the task’s history, showing how it has evolved over time and who made each change.

6. Task Workflow: Below the task details, the current workflow stage of the task is displayed, indicating its status. The available status options depend on how the task was created and the workflow it follows.

The action button available on the task card is the checkmark (✓) Complete to move a task to review or approve it.

  • For tasks created within Burai, the task can have one of the following statuses:

    • Open: The task is active and awaiting work to be done.

    • In Progress: The task has been submitted for review after the assignee has completed the necessary work.

    • Completed: The task has been completed and approved, marking the end of its lifecycle.

Managing tasks sometimes involves removing those that are no longer relevant or necessary. In Burai, there is an option to delete and delete permanently tasks directly from the task details using the three-dot menu located beside the action buttons.
