The indicator highlights comment activity you haven’t seen yet, so you can spot updates fast. The icon turns blue with a dot, and the number next to it continues to show the total comment count.
Steps
Scan task cards for the comment icon.
On tasks and subtasks, look for the comment icon. When there’s unseen activity (new comments, reactions, or replies by others), the icon turns blue and a dot appears. The number next to it still shows the total comments on that task.
Open the task to clear the indicator.
Click the task to open the task detail view and load the Comments section. This removes the “new” indicator for that task.Understand when it appears.
You’ll see the indicator when:Someone else adds a new comment, reaction, or reply on the task.
You haven’t opened the task detail view since that activity.

Opening the task detail view (and loading Comments) is what clears the indicator.
