Document Statuses in Burai

Burai classifies documents into three statuses: Draft, Published, and Archived. Each status serves a specific purpose in the document lifecycle, enhancing management and organization.

Draft Status:

Documents in Draft are those currently undergoing creation or revision. They are editable and accessible by authorized individuals within your organization, allowing multiple team members to collaborate on the document simultaneously. Once finalized, documents can be moved to the Published status for broader distribution.

Usage Example: A project proposal being developed and reviewed by multiple team members before final approval.

Published Status:

When a document is Published, it indicates that the document has been completed, approved, and is ready for external sharing and distribution. Once assigned this status, the document becomes non-editable. Although published documents can be shared externally, access can be controlled by assigning appropriate permissions. A "Final Version" label may also indicate that the document is ready for official use.

Usage Example: A finalized annual report prepared for distribution to stakeholders.

Archived Status:Archived status is assigned to a document that is no longer actively needed but is preserved for potential future use or reference. These documents are non-editable but can be restored to active status if necessary. Additionally, any tasks associated with the document will be hidden from active task lists to reduce clutter.

Usage Example: Finalized documents from a completed project, stored for record-keeping and future reference.

These statuses help streamline the document lifecycle, ensuring efficient management and easy access to documents at various stages.
